I have only just learnt of the existence of the 'Older Travellers' site. I posted the following message on the NZ site, as I usually do on the appropriate forum for the trips we have made, to make my journal available to anyone who might be interested, and the suggestion was that I should post it here.
We spent 2 months, mid January to mid March, earlier this year travelling in New Zealand. We flew in and out of Auckland and hired an adapted Toyota Estima hatchback car, not a Motorhome or Campervan, more a camper-car. We spent a month on each island. I kept a travel blog during that time which is still available on-line. If anyone would like to take a look it is available at
www.johnandcarolyninnz.blogspot.co.uk.
Warning - it does go on a bit, more of a diary/journal! Please bear in mind that we are 70s and not into bungy jumping, white water rafting etc., (I guess that's why the suggestion was made that I post it here!)
It is reverse chronological order, with the conclusions at the beginning.
