My family was eating dinner at the Lonely Planet recommended Aqaba restaurant, Captain's Restaurant, when a young cat came up to our table. My cat loving teenager was petting it. A waiter asked my kid to "catch it." The waiter carried the cat by the scruff of its neck to the back of the restaurant. We got up to leave and heard the cat meowing. The waiter had placed it in a black garbage bag and was taking it through the adjacent Captain's Hotel to the rear of the building. We did not see what…

Hi all.We are three people currently travelling in Iraki kurdistan. We have our flight back home from Istambul, and we are planning to cross to Turkey by land .
We have read about buses bron Doruk to Diyarbakir and Mardin.
Any update information about the transport and border crossing would be apreciated. Has anyone recently used this border crossing? If so, how it was ?
If anyone has recent experience with this border crossing, please let me know how it was.
Thanks a lot

We have a trip planned for three weeks starting on April 6th. Our itinerary includes Shiraz. After reading the news, we have insufficient information about the scope of damages and how this crisis can affect our trip. According to some news agencies, more floods are expected and the dams are at the critical levels. Any information on this topic will be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone,

This month I will be traveling from Turkey (Ankara) to Iran (Tehran). I have some questions about exchanging money to Iranian Rial.

1) I read online that it's better to change from Euros or Dollars to Iranian Rial. However, since I will be traveling from Turkey, I then first have to change Turkish Lira to Euro, and then change the Euros to Iranian Rial. I'm afraid that I will lose more money than necessary in this 2 times changing money. Which currency would you think is better to…

I'm not planning to go through an agency, but I'd rather go backpacking on my own. I already did it several times (in…
