What I often like to do is purchase a local pre-paid SIM card for my trip, and use it in my own mobile. That is normally cheaper and more convenient than using roaming from my European mobile operator.
Can I easily do the same in Iran?
thanks

My film "Land of Milk and Chutzpah” presents a 1995 trip to Israel and Petra, Jordan. The video includes Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, the Galilee, Golan Heights, Nazareth, Bethlehem, Masada & the Dead Sea. Jewish, Moslem, and Christian holy places are all presented. (The movie reflects optimism about peace.)
The film can be seen on the web, if you have a high speed internet connection.

I'm going to be in Syria from around the 22nd to the 29th April.
Can anyone tell me if the wildflower festival in Hama will be on during this time, and if so, what it's likely to involve?
Cheers.

How much will (should) I pay for a taxi from the airport to city centre? And to southern bus terminal? How long would such a ride take?
Is the underground (metro) extension operating all the way to the airport already? Thanks.
TRAIN: What times daily do trains to Esfahan leave? Can I assume that tickets will be available when I arrive the same day in the station in Tehran?
BUS: which terminal (southern or central) should I go to for these buses? I presume ticket availability is no problem with buses..
