Hello!

I would like to ask of your advice about hotels in Tehran.

I am considering Hotel Markazi located on Lalehzar Street. Is it a good and safe street? It is a famous historical street in Tehran, but as I understand it is located in the Sothern part of the city, that is why I am not quite sure if this street is a good choice.

I am looking for a cheap hotel. It could be a humble local-style hotel in a quite and safe area. Can you recommend one?

Has anyone tried getting a vaccination in Iran on a one-month tourist visa? Were there any problems with time or other things involved? I'm wishing to go overland to India as soon as possible but some vaccinations are still missing and I thought about getting them in Iran.

Hi there, I'm planning to spend a few weeks each in israel and morocco in august, leaving from and returning to london, and so far my internet searches have brought up little in the way of budget options - does anyone have any advice as to which way round to visit them (london - morocco - israel - london or vice versa) and/or where is the the best place to look for tickets? hello, I am planning a trip to Iran (september 2007) and would like some feedback about what I coming up with. I am woman and will be alone. I will book through an Iranian agency a group trip to various archaeological cities, and then the hotel in Tehran. The tour around Iran is with a small group (which seemed the best solution, from what I read about other travellers' experiences), but I will have to be in Tehran for one week bymyself to meet some people and visit museums for research…

Hi! I'm coming to Israel from May through June, and was wondering if there's a website where I can find out what bands are playing in Israel so I can buy tickets beforehand. Is there a ticketmaster or something? And if I wanted to find local acts (like Rita and Rami or something, juts for argument's sake!), where would I do that?! Thanks! I will be flying into Tel Aviv on May 2nd, take a bus to Eilat and plan to cross into Taba on May 3rd ( yes, I do suspect to be very tired) I just thought I would see if anyone is doing the crossing the same day and would possibly be interested in meeting up to cross and share a ride to Dahab. can anyone confirm to me that it is true what i have heard concerning it being possible to get a five or seven day transit visa in iran on the border? may be not on every border?
(i have a german passport)

So it seems like the number one thing people ask and are stressing about on this forum is the whole Visa at The Border thing. Well I just happen to have an oppurtunity to fly cheap to Sharjah and I figured from there it would be easy to get to Kish Island. Now Ive read as much as İ can about goıng to the maınland from Kish but thats not that much. Has anybody actually done ıt? And what kınd of credentials would İ need? Lıke do I need a flight home, because Id prefer to exit into Turkey. Im Canadian and I understand we dont have much luck getting into Iran. I have heard about problems with finding accomodation to a good price because of the huge amounts of iraqi refugees presently. I hope I have heard wrong, because I am going to Syria on budget soon. Can anyone tell me ? Also if prices in general har increased...
