My friend and I have a trip to Jordan booked from 16th - 25th June, starting and finishing in Amman and travelling around the country by hire car to visit all the main sights.
Given the current situation, I wonder whether any travellers/hosts who are already in Jordan, or who know the country, would have any advice for us as to whether it is safe and feasible for us to go ahead with the trip? It appears that the protests have been peaceful so far, but I realise it is a potentially escalating…

Hello, I am traveling with my wife and daughter to Iran really soon. I am taking two cameras, two flashes and 3 lenses as well as other little things. Like remote control for flash and cameras etc. Would that be a problem entering Iran?
Would it be a good idea to give a camera, a lens and a flash to my wife as her equipment.

I am hoping to get to Iraqi Kurdistan through Iran in July and I am an EU citizen travelling on a Swedish passport. Can anyone update me on the visa situation.
1. Is it possible to get a visa on arrival at the border? (Procedure, cost, etc.?)
2. Is it possible to get it from the Iraqi Embassy in Tbilisi, Georgia, where I will be passing through? (Again: Procedure, cost, how long does it take??)

How does this work? If I fly into Dubai and then go overland to Oman do I qualify, or do I need to fly from Dubai to Muscat?

I know that if you have an Israeli stamp in your passport you can't go to most Arab League Countries, so I know that Israel no longer stamps passports. But recently someone told me that it doesn't matter, since the data is stored electronically when your passport is scanned at a border crossing they see everywhere you've been. Is that true?
