Dubai - Abu Dhabi April 16-22

Hi,

i am deciding on a stop over in Dubai on my way home from New Delhi. I have so many questions - I've been reading through the forums when I have a chance but i'm still confused.

I will be travelling with my baby (he will have just turned one when we travel) so my questions are, if you could shed some insight:

  1. We are all Canadian - husband, baby and myself if we are going for 6-7 days can I obtain a visa for all 3 of us at the airport upon landing

  2. Do i need a car seat…

Cheap Hotel/host Abu Dhabi

Hi all,

I will be arriving in Abu Dhabi in ten days and I am looking for some cheap hotel or hostels. I tried looking online and I tried agoda, booking.com and lonely planet's hotel booking and the cheapest hotel I can find is 70euro a night. Does anyone know of any cheaper hotel that I could book directly with the hotel or hostel. My budget is 20-30euro per night.

Also has anyone any recommendations on what to do for two days in Abu Dhabi?
I appreciate any help anyone can give me.

Cheers in…

Dubai in July for 3 nights

Hi All,

My fiancee and I are stopping over in Dubai for 3 nights in mid July on the way back from our honeymoon in Croatia, Turkey & the Greek Islands.

Original plan was to stay at the creek/deira end to take in more of the 'old' dubai with the souks etc... With the very warm temperatures i guess we're looking for a hotel with some great pool facilities (more resort style), and an area some nice restaurants & cafes. A lot of these seem to be the newer places towards the palm end of town. Would…

Teaching English in Dubai

Hello,

My wife and I are preparing to apply to teach English in Dubai starting in September 2014. By the time we apply, we will have Masters of Arts in Education with specializations in teaching and learning globally, TESOL certificates and some Arabic language experience. I guess I am just trying to figure out if this will be enough to get a good paying job. Neither of us have teaching certificates in the US not do we have experience teaching English in the classrooms. I was a substitute…

Luggage storage Abu Dhabi?

Hi There,

Friend and I are styaing in Dubai in April, we fly in and out of Abu Dhabi. We want to see the Mosque in Abu Dhabi and thinking it will be best to do it on our way back for the airport, but have no idea what to do with our luggage whilst at the Mosque? Any ideas/suggestions? Is there a service at the airport or Mosque that can hold them for a few hours?

Thanks!

Hi All,

We (a couple) are coming to Dubai on 14th Feb and staying 8 days in the country, half of which we wish to rent a car and do some camping, one night in the mountains (possibly Wadi Bih ), one night in the desert (possibly Liwa), one night on the beach (any, not 2 busy)

Anyone has done similar thing? Please share the opinions!
Anyone wants to join? Please get in touch!

Thanks for ur time,
Karo

Car Rental x Taxi

Does it worth to rent a car in Dubai?
I know it's cheap, but how's the traffic and parking spots in Dubai?
Is it like Las Vegas, where you can park everywhere for free?

I'll speend 4 days in Dubai. My plan is to visit the famous tourist areas and do a 1-day round trip to Abu Dhabi.

Honestly I always like to rent a car on my trips, first because I like to drive and second because I have a bad history of being cheated by taxi drivers around the world. But I don't rent a car when I know that I'll…

Dubai on Friday

Unfortunately my Dubai visit will be on a Friday during March. I'm thinking to go to Dubai Mall in the morning, then visit old Dubai in the afternoon.
I'd like to know if is it feasable on foot: starting from Heritage Village, Al Maktoum's house, then go to Bur Dubai's souq, Dubai Museum (will be open?)and a stroll to Bastakija. Looking at the map these places doesn't seems to be far away to walk from each other but I'm not so sure. Please, any advices? Thanks.

Airline Tickets from Europe

Hello,

Just wondering if 450 Euros is a decent price for flights from Europe, in my case Vienna? Has anyone flown for cheaper? These flights are on Emirates.

Thanks in advance!
