HI All
My boyfriend and i are going to thailand for two weeks, i have been many times and we know what we are doing while we are there. but on the way back we are stopping in Abu Dhabi for a day we arrive at 11.00am and fly out at 2.00 the following morning so we have about 12 hours to hang around in Abu Dhabi and i have no idea what to do while we are there! Could anyone give us any advice on what to do and where to go?

I just took my plane ticket for the 7th of March, and I need to travel by Local Bus from Abu Dhabi Airport to Ras Al Khaimah Airport.

I am heading to Dubai with my husband in early October and am wanting advice on where to stay and what to do.
We are there for three days.
We are a couple in our late 20's and are happy to go mid range with accommodation? Even a bit of luxury for an ok price would be great. We would just like to be in close distance of the main area.

Arriving Dubai International at 06:45, is it safe to book a flight departing from Sharjah airport at 12:20? Is 5.5 hr enough for the transfer (including possible delay, traffic jam etc)?
The earliest Air Arabia shuttle bus won't arrive Sharjah until 11:00 according to their schedule, is taking a taxi the only reasonable option?

I'm flying into Dubai International and need to transfer to Abu Dhabi that same morning. Do buses depart from the airport or do I need to take a taxi into town?
I land at 5:00 a.m. on a Saturday on Emirates airlines if that is a factor.

I can only find expensive hotels in Abu Dhabi, is it worth going to Dubai as it's cheaper for one nite? And, does anyone know a site i can book a cheapish hotel in Abu Dhabi? Is 660 dbh - £130 ? This seems expensive!
Is it recommended that I book ahead to get a hotel or hostel in Abu Dhabi using lonely Planet or should I o it when i get there?

I'm a nurse currently applying for jobs in Abu Dhabi. I will get a housing allowance and am wanting to rent a 1 bed apartment with shared pool, gym etc.
The housing allowance I've been offered should cover the monthly rent(I've just some research on property sites). I didn't realise that the rent is payable a year in advance.
Just wanting to hear experiences from other ppl of whether their employers would front the years rent or if I would have to find it myself??
