I will be stopping over in Abu Dhabi for a few days ... not till January unfortunately!
As a lone women traveller, has anyone got any advice for where to stay, best ways to experience Emirati culture or anything you wished you had known before you got there!
Also how easy is it to get a taste of Bedoudin way of life on such a tight schedule?

After leaving Tajikistan, We're starting our honeymoon in Dubai (ONLY IN TRANSIT, on our way to Borneo!), and will be immediately craving beach, sand, and a nice enough hotel.
Does anyone know of one that won't break my bank for the rest of our 3 week jaunt?

I will be travelling through Abu Dhabi in December and am seeking a reasonably priced hotel close to the airport for one night. Suggestions would be very welcome. Am also wondering if most of the hotels have a shuttle bus.

I'm going on a three-days event in abu dhabi in october. my plane lands in beyrut before abu dhabi....could it be dangerous? another question: how shuld i be dressed, should i cover my knees, shoulders, feet?? i know that AD is an international business and tourist centre but i want to be sure to not offend the local costume.
