What is the current situation for a holiday visa into Dubai foe Australian passport holders. I have a reply from the UAE embassy in Australia, but the answer is ambiguous. In one parragraph it says that there is no requirement and another that lists Australia as a country that requires one. My travel company (Adventure World) says that it is up to me to find out!!
Can anyone shed light on this?
Thanking you in anticipation.

All people, with the exception of GCC citizens need a visa. However, you will be given a visa on arrival at the airport and you don't need to obtain one in advance if your stay is less than 30 days.

All nationality needs a visa to United Arab Emirates – as LP members said Gulf Citizens don’t need a visa. Around 30 – 36 countries can get a 30 day visa upon arrival Australia, passport holders will get 30 day visa upon arrival.

Good Luck and enjoy your stay in UAE.

Australian passport holder will get a 30 day free visa on arrival. Some other nationalities need to apply for a tourist visa before they arrive but not you so don't worry.

Can I get a visa on arrival at the port? I'm a British Passport holder and will be crossing from Iran to UAE by ferry.

Hi DF, not sure about that one, you would get the 30 days visa on arrival if you arrived by road so I don't see why not.

I would agree with wandabug. Just a small technical detail: British passport holders must have right of abode in the UK to qualify for visa on arrival. People who don't, for example British National (Overseas) passport holders, do not qualify for VOA.

I agree with dow - British Passport holder will give VOA but if you have any other British Passport then you will not qualify.
