Hi,
what about taxi's prices/fares in Dubai?
Cheap? Expensive?
My hotel is located near the airport so I suppose I should take the taxi for going in the main attractions/beaches and stuff like that.
Thanks in advance

Remember the taxi from the airport start off at 20AED which you will have to take or see if your hotel has a free pick-up service.Taxi start off at 3-5 AED from the street. The taxis also have a late night fare that kicks in after a certin time but I think taxis prices are good. The problem you may face is getting one sometimes.
If you want to get to places quick then take a taxi but if you have time to be lazy take the hop on hop off bus that goes to all the sites, they have a website [big bus dubai] you can get it from the city center mall in Dubai.

Cheap, yes. Although dont make the mistake of getting an unmetered taxi - much more expensive. We soon found that out out, the guy at the hotel door organised them for us so he was probably paid a percentage. We made sure not to get one off him again! We were located at satwa roundabout, al diyafah rd and the taxi fare to jumeirah beach area was more than double if not triple the cost in the unmetered taxi.
Having said this, basically all the taxis around the city are metered and there are no shortage of them either. I come froman expensive country so was delighted the fare was so cheap, just a well since the weather is not exactly made for walking long distances!
