medical assistance in Dubai

I do not know about free but medical care is very affordable here so if you have cash on you or credit cards it should not break the bank unless it something very serious. I would suggest calling the hospital for a consultation see how much that is then go from there.
I have been in the hospital here and have been to the doctor a few times and did not want to wait on the insurance I have and just paid out of pocket.

The better hospitals (American Hospital / Welcare) in Dubai are expensive ; the government run hospitals are of varying quality but far more affordable. I would say it depends what kind of emergency treatment you are talking about. The normal run of the mill illnesses will not be exorbitant : anything of a specialist nature will be.

There is no free medical help for visitors, Iranian Hospital is cheapest option for visitors. Best to get insurance though, it's not expensive, if something serious happens you could end up with a huge bill, why take the risk?
