Long stopover in Dubai

Hi all,

I am a solo traveller and the next month I will have a two days stopover in Dubai. The arrival time will be at 4:10 am and I would like to go the the hotel at once after getting the luggage. I have been checking some hotels and the check-in time is never earlier than 12:00. ¿Do you know a nice and not too expensive place where I could go without having to pay and extra night?

The departure time is at 7:30 am two days after my arrival. I am suppossed to be at the airport 2 hours earlier than the departure time. I had thought booking two nights and have a nap before heading to the airport. So I supposse I will have to take a taxi at that time, Should I book it the day before or is it not neccessary?

I am thinking that it would be convenient to find the accomodation close to the airport.

I would greatly appeciate any advice.

Who are you flying with? Check with the airline for their options of a stopover hotel. IF you had done this before you had paid for your airline ticket the whole package would be rolled into one price. You could then include an airport transfer and the company that the airline has subcontracted this to is guaranteed to get you back to the airport in time for your flight departure. From my experience the airline price for the stopover hotel of your choice is always cheaper than the rack rate.

I am flying with Emirates but I missed that. Now I can´t find any special offer if I book throught them. I am not sure that Emirates guarantee an airport transfer for such a long stepover. It´s the first time i fly with them and I don´t know much about them but I can´t remember readind anything like that when I bought the airline ticket.
