I want to return to the US with a few little gold bars for my grandchildren to treasure. Is it easy to get this in Dubai? I am staying at the Intercontinental and spending most of my time in the Mall. Festival City. I think that I heard that some vending machines will furnish them....does anyone know about this, and would I be able to get them in small sizes?

The only Vending machine for Gold Bars is at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi. I know they have a big bang start and sold out of all their pieces the same day : not sure if they are still around though.
