hello TT"s

I have about a week in Dubia 1st time visitor my question is it possible to visit both Dubai and also go to Muscat for an overnite. Or is this to much I read that the bus is only 6 hrs is that correct? and how much is it? also do you need advance purchase or just show up.

Then the re entry to UAE it's just a stamp in and out right? I have a US passport. you don't need to be out of the country for certain length of time? to return correct. And Oman is visa on arrival? how much $
so my basic question is can I go to Oman and come back the next day without any immagration problems? and advance purchase of bus ticket.

how much is it? Think it costs about $ 30- 50
do you need advance purchase or just show up. depends if you are travelling during a busy holiday like Eid, but rarely are the buses packed.

If you are an American passport holder, I think the visa fee is waived. If this has changed, it is USD 10 for the visa.

The trip is quite hassle free. Note that your bags will be checked at the border by sniffer dogs (drugs / liqour/ ammunition) and there are random physical checking of baggage.

A week in Dubai is a little long. So a side trip would be a good idea. Although i don't really see the point of taking a bus just to sleep in a different place and take a bus back the next day. Even with an early departure and a flawless border crossing, by the time you get settled in Muscat you'll have a couple hours of daylight at best.

But logic aside, the logistics are fine. No immigration problems. They might ask an extra question on re-entry, but that's about it.

thanks for the replies these are just thoughts for a future trip maybe a little to pricey for me i am sure someday i will have Dubai as a stop over thanks again
