My experiences are with Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, but I generally find that most everything that I would like to do at that time of year is closed because of Ramadan. If it were me, I would try to go before the holiday. It will be very hot, but at least one knows that everything will be open.

I was in Dubai and Sharjah in Ramadan 2009) yes everything is closed, no parties no clubs everything is shuts down.

But if you come after Ramadan yes there are many things to do in Dubai clubs are open food courts are open in mall. Yes it worth a look as Dubai it’s world class city but it cost lot $ to stay. Per day you need around 50us – 100us per day.

DO NOT come here during Ramadan,go to Turkey or someplace that respects others not in the religion. Its going to be blazing hot and you will not be able to drink water outside and only eat in the big hotels.
