definitely lots of bars and clubs where you will meet people. I would say that the likehood of you meeting a 'local' lady is slim to none! Russian hookers? Plenty of them... Expats from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, NZ etc- yep plenty of them too.
Places like Barasti, Yalumba, anywhere in Media City, Jumeriah Beach Residence and the free zones and you will meet other young expats.
The only places that sell alcohol will have a license from a hotel- don't dare drink in public or even be drunk in public. It is not tolerated and prison and deportation the punishment.
Dubai is either insanely cheap or insanely expensive depending where you are from. If you are an Aussie- you will think you are heaven with the grocery/alcohol/petrol prices!
