I have a flight booked tomorrow for Tel Aviv to Beirut (via Istanbul). As Israel does not stamp passports anymore at Ben Gurion, I have no indication that I have been to Israel on my documents. I am planning on checking a bag, but picking up with the bag separately from Istanbul and rechecking it to Beirut. This will make it so I have no tag on my luggage indiciating that I have been to Israel.

I have a couple of questions that are causing me anxiety: will I be asked for my airline tickets for the journey going there or the journey going back? Are there any other things that could cause me trouble on this trip that I am over looking? Can I expect to recieve trouble from passport control?

I am an American passport holder, by the way.

Thanks in advance.
