Tsfat to Nazareth to Tel Aviv

Country forums / Middle East / Israel

Hi,

Please can you tell me what's the easiest (and most efficient) way to get from Tsfat to Nazareth, and then Nazareth to Tel Aviv?

There's a bus for the first route, but it seems that it takes 3 hours for 60km! Is there a better way?

Thanks!

I assume you looked at the Egged website and found nothing remotely practical. Most routes in the north are not operated by Egged.

You don't say what time you want to go, but picked at random, 9:30 departure from Tsfat (operated by Veolia) will get you to Tiberias at 10:17, and from Tiberias at 10:30 (operated by GB Tours) will deposit you in Nazareth at 11:27.

See all that and more here. Search using "include connections". "Aerial line" is a literal translation of "in a straight line" (for walking between bus stops!).

Hi,

Thanks a lot! I didn't have a specific time in mind. I could decide based on availability, if there isn't a frequent service.

Would you know if a taxi is also possible (since it's only 60km), and approximately how much should that cost? Can we ask at a taxi company, or book through our guesthouse?

Thanks a lot!

The bus services are pretty frequent. I searched for "after 9 a.m." (for no particular reason), and the 9:30 departure was the first that came up, but there are plenty of others.

You don't say when you're planning on doing this. Note that Friday April 13 is a full holiday (the last day of Passover) and buses will not run. The timetable on Thursday April 12 will be like a normal Friday.

Taxi is always possible. Ask your guest house how much it should cost. Since it's an intercity ride it won't be on the meter.
