Travelling from Lattakia to Tripoli

I am planning to travel from Lattakia to Tripoli in September and am just wondering if the border is open. Does anyone have any updates?

Boreders is open usualy.It is advisable to check closer to the date.
there is a bus and shared taxi service from Latakia to Beirut.

Have you heard of the Oriental Hotel is as I am trying to find a contact number/email for it. Is it the same as the Orient Palace that is mentioned in the guide?

Oriental hotel is a new boutique hotel in the walled city in Bab Sharki, it is in the same street as damascushostel called Alabbara just of the street called Straight(as mentioned in the bible)
It is different from Oriental Palace.
Im not sure if they have website .Their telephone is 963 11 5435338

I called the Oriental Hotel and it sounds really nice, but at $170 per night its a little out of my price range.

How would I find out if the border crossing between Tripoli and Latakia is open in the next few days?

Borders opened all the time.They likely to close when there is tension or bombing/assasination in Lebanon .Borders hvnt been closed for a long time now that situation in Lebanon is stable.
