Hi any has experince taking the train from allepo to dam? How long is the journey and is the sleeper worthwhile or the first class seeting okay?

I have only ever taken the sleaper whcih leaves around midnight and gets in around 5am or so.

The last time I did this when I arrived in Aleppo there was a brand spanking new train sitting in the station and a launch party getting ready-I have to say it looked pretty swanky and have been told pretty quick too-
Aleppo Station is pretty easy to get to so pop in and ask about the fast posh one.

I took this train and had a good sleep in the sleeper for about 500 SP- it actually arrived about 7am.

It was not a new train, by any means!

Never try to whistle with a mouth full of custard.

took the train - a sleeper for 318 SP - excellent value and arrived arnd 7 am at damascus
