Skydiving and Paragliding in Iran

Country forums / Middle East / Iran

Visiting Tehran? - I highly recommend that you try skydiving Iranian style! A company called PAAviation has recently opened Iran's first skydiving center. In a country with no bars or nightclubs, this is undoubtedly the single most exciting thing to do! I loved it, the staff were very friendly and the price is great too!

Interesting. Thanks. Skydiving IS great fun.

(BTW: What else did you do when traveling in Iran?)

hey thanks, I've been looking for a skydiving experience for years.
BTW the first bungee jumping club in Iran has started recently in Tehran's Tochal sport complex.

Wow, interesting! Have been wanting to sky-dive for a while, but was thwarted in New Zealand due to bad weather. Anyone have any idea about safety standards in Iran??

Look for some international certifications of site, packers and instructors. Generally be very conscious of their attitude towards procedures and detail, as well as overall experience. Check and verify everything yourself; and if it "feels" secure go ahead; or if not, try somewhere else. You're on your own; but then that's travel, right?

Surf (Google) some of the skydiving websites now, so that you know what to look for later.

I suspect the OP is the owner of the operation.

Whatever happens to you happens to your tandem instructor about 0.005s later. If they're happy to go there isn't much you should be worried about (yeahyeah i know, they can still break you on landing or not hook you up right, but in general...). I'd worry more about the Americans shooting you on the way down... ;-)
