Recommendations for Middle East in December - January?

Hello, I am visiting family in India for about a week during the end of December / start of January time period. I have another week off and would like to visit a country in the Middle East. I've always wanted to go to Jordan but I think December/January is the worst time to visit Jordan due to weather. Anyone have any recommendations for place that will have decent weather? I would prefer some place that's more liberal -hence me wanting to visit Jordan. I might visit Dubai / Abu Dhabi which I'm excited to see, but not super excited. I enjoy a variety of things: seeing the outdoors, exploring towns/cities, etc.

I lived in Dubai for many years and have been to Jordan.

December / jan is the best time to go as weather is not too hot!!

Think a few days in Dubai is enough. We did a long weekend in Jordan from Dubai with air Dubai they have cheap flights.
We hired a car a drove around. Super fun and easy to do. Check out Jerash ruins about 2 hour drive north of airport before you go to dead sea and Petra.

we also found an amazing place to stay near Dead Sea with a thermal waterfall pool!
