| sasawilly23:41 UTC01 Aug 2008 | Hi Guys, I will be stopping over in Dubai twice during my round the world trip but only for 9hours each time. The times I arrive will be night time and was wandering about luggage storage at the International airport and more importantly is there much going on during the hours of 11:30pm and 9am? as in night markets, shopping centres, cafes etc? Also how safe is this?
Thanks heaps

U might wanna try & visit "Madinat Jumeriah"...only if U get in before 0000hrs. Since Ure gonna be transit...Ure baggage will be thru-checked in to Ure final destination. U wouldn't need to collect Ure bags...Just walk out thru passport control & get Ure visa stamped. But make sure that Uve got Ure onward flight's boarding pass with U; so that when U return to the airport...U don't need to get into the check-in hassle... Which airline U flying? And wa time U get into Dxb?

| suzzles09:37 UTC06 Aug 2008 | Thanks Vicki - I did have a browse of some old posts and kept seeing this information:
"Rooms in the Abu Dhabi Airport Hotel are used for Etihad passengers on stopovers of more than six hours, who qualify for a free stay. At times when the airport hotel is full, Etihad passengers are provided with a room in the city."
Is this still the case? Because I can't find any reference to it on the Etihad/AUH websites anywhere ...

| vickynelson06:34 UTC07 Aug 2008 | Hi Suzzles Yes as far as I know that is still the case. I'm not an expert on this as I live here and so obviously have never stopped over, but it's definitely worth contacting Etihad over this. Perhaps give them a call if you can't find any info on their website.
