Question regarding Dubai airportCountry forums / Middle East / United Arab Emirates
I have a question related to the Dubai airport. I might buy a flight landing at 10.40 am at Dubai airport terminal 1 coming from Kabul (Safi airlines). 80 minutes after the landing (at noon) I would have a connection flight departing from terminal 2 (flydubai) to Djibouti. Do you think I would have the time to get the connection flight or you think most probably not because terminal 2 is too far from terminal 1 and they still need to bring my 30 kgs. suitcase, etc.? Thanks for your input
I wouldn't try a connection on separate tickets (I'm assuming these are two separate tickets) with checked luggage, probably even within the same terminal. But if FlyDubai's policy with respect to rescheduling flights is relatively free and easy, then you may not have much to lose if you try. Edited by: chriskean1 | 1
I have had the experience that Flydubai arranges a transfer for you if you transfer FROM Flydubai to another airline. They will re-check your baggage, give you a new boarding card and take you by shuttle bus from Terminal 2 to 1. However, they do NOT do it if you transfer TO Flydubai from another airline. Heaven knows why. You can still get one of the ground handling/hospitality service providers to do the transfer for you (meaning you don't have to go through immigration and check in), but it costs money. I would not risk it, having only 80 minutes. The shuttle bus between the two terminals runs infrequently and although the ground staff keep an eye on the waiting passengers' departure times it seems a bit too tight. | 2
