Qeshm in october???

Country forums / Middle East / Iran

Hi all

We (wife and myself) will be visiting Iran for 3 weeks during september/october and would like to end our tour on Qeshm island. Anyone has any experience on the wheather in that time of the year? Probably we will arrive around 4. october. Is the heat still unbearable in october? Our itinnerary pretty much covers the "classic" highlights of Iran, so we thaught to end our trip with a kinda off the beaten track experience and Qeshm seems pretty interesting.

Thanks guys!

Safe travels and all the best!

We made a similar trirp in April, 3+ weeks. We skipped the islands in the south once we learnd that you can't go to the beach as a couple.
Besides, beach culture in Iran is quite peculiar, compared to Europe, but in a way similar to the British beach culture (where people stay dressed on the beach).

I believe it is still hot!
Because, people went in mid November and there were skipping couple of hours being out. In fact, October is hot in many parts of Iran still, not only in southern islands!

Thanks for the answers!

In October it's definitely tolerable. It's not as bad as you think. I'm sure you'll enjoy the island and its sights. If you just want to cool off and not go around a lot you may want to try Kish island instead. Queshm is pretty big!

Thanks for the answer shaark!
Tolerable weather is what we are hoping for as well. We are from Hungary and the summer here is pretty hot, like 35-40 celsius some weeks and it's not a problem for us. The close to 100% hummidity will be new though... but we're gonna try it out anyway :). we chose Qeshm, because we really love natural beauty, traditional little villages and generrally the off the beaten track experience what qeshm can offer.

All the best!

Anytime! The humidity now is kind of rough but in October you'll be fine. Don't forget to visit Loft port, Stars valley, Kharbas caves and if time allows Hengam island of course where you'll get to see the dolphins! Cheers!
