I know this is never-ending, but after reading on here that Israeli stamps were no worries in entering Oman, I have booked a trip.

However, I just noticed on the Australian government's website that Oman will not allow me to enter with an Israeli stamp.

Can someone please clarify this position! I'm getting extremely nervous!

There are a group of countries that consistently have no problems with an Israeli stamp (Jordan, Turkey, Egypt, etc.), then there are those that consistently deny entry (Syria, Lebanon, Iran, etc.), then, as I mentioned on your other post reference Bahrain, there are a few countries which generally have no problems with an Israeli stamp, but can, depending upon the immigration official on duty, inconsistenly deny entry. This doesn't happen very often, but can happen. Oman falls into that last catagory.

There's nothing you can do about it and it's unlikely you'll encounter a problem. You can't control Middle East politics so just relax and take your trip.

#2 (laketraveller) is right, Oman is not among those few countries who are hysterical about this. But if you are still worried, you could consider applying for a fresh passport, if your home country allows this. Personally, I would do that. Consider the price of a new passport against the price of an air ticket to Oman and the (albeit small) risk of being rejected...
