Learning Arabic in SyriaCountry forums / Middle East / Syria
I have already been to Syria once as a turist, but now I want to improve my Arabic a bit. I plan to visit Syria in December/January by bus from Istanbul. I have only two weks, so I expect that I would have to hire a private teacher. What can I expect to pay for an hour? Is it possible to find teachers in Aleppo? I know that accomodation is much cheaper in Aleppo than in Damascus. And is it wise to travel to Syria at that time at all? Can I expect any travel inconveniences because of Christmas and New Year's Eve? As it is a muslim country, I do not expect any problems.
If you want to hire a tutor with previous teaching experience, expect to pay around 400-600SP per hour. More than that would be excessive. If you're open to hiring somebody who has not taught before, 200SP per hour should be sufficient. No problems getting around during Christmas/New Years. | 1
contact me if you are interested , I will find you a good teacher and also find you a cheap place but in damascus not in Aleppo. | 2
