Jadid paintings - where to buy in Damascus

Hi,

I am visiting Syria in October and wish to purchase some paintings by an artist called Jadid. My parents lived in Damascus in the late 90s and bought some paintings then.

Does anyone know where in Damascus I can buy these paintings?

The only mention of this artist I could find on the internet was

I realize this post is older. However, I'm a new member at Lonely Planet and read your entry in fact today when I was looking for more information on the Syrian artist Jadid. We were posted in Damascus from 2004-2006. It was then that we saw Jadid's work for the first time. Many expats were quite interested and in fact the gallery owner (Mr. Al Ayoubi) sold all of the works he had in practically no time. It was also Mr. Al Ayoubi' who framed it for us professionally with acid free matting.
I have been contemplating to sell our Jadid piece for some time now. Therefore, please let me know, if you are still interested in acquiring one of his works. Feel free to contact me through this blog.
