Israel - Egypt - Jordan Trip

Country forums / Middle East / Israel

So I would really like to spend five weeks traveling in Jordan, Israel and Egypt and then I would like to go up to Greece for another couple of weeks. I will be going in May (hot I know) and the first week of June (hotter probably). I would like to minimize air travel as much as possible and would really like to take a boat/ferry if at all possible. Does anyone have any suggestions for the directions I should go? Like...Jordan --> Israel--> Egypt and then to Greece. Or the other way around or some variation? I was thinking two weeks in Egypt, two in Jordan and one in Jerusalem.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

There are no advantages to travelling one was as opposed to another - the only thing I can think of is airfare - find out what the cheapest combination of arrival and departure airports and go with that....

It makes no difference which way you go. Those border crossings are not in the least problematic in either direction. But don't count on being able to get a boat to or from Israel. Reports have appeared on this forum from time to time suggesting that there are boats, but there isn't any regular timetable for them.

You might want to coincide your visits with local holidays or festivals.
