Hi there, with 2 friends we're visiting Israel for the first time. for those who know could you suggest a nice itinary combining (party-culture-relaxing) we thought about Tel Avis - Eilat - Jerusalem Any suggestions are welcome regards,
For 10 days, the two places you must go are Tel Aviv and Jerusalem - Party and culture! Eilat is quite a way from TA and Jerusalem ( a 1 hour flight or 5 hour drive) and so depending on budget just getting there can take a lot of time out of your itinerary. Also are you interested in Dead Sea, and archaelogical and historical sites in the Galilee, or the Negev Desert. There really is loads to do I think you need to give some more details... Hope this helps | 1
I second touristisraelcom - Eilat is a bit far, and unless you are dying for beach time, or really want to hike the beautiful red mountains around the city, I'd also recommend sticking to the center of the country. There's certainly more than enough to see. Here's a suggested itinerary: Spend several days in Jerusalem; then travel down to the Dead Sea/Masada/Ein Gedi for a day and then zip up the Jordan Valley to the Sea of Galilee; spend a day or two around Tiberias/Capernaum/the Golan Heights; then cross back west across the lovely Galilee Region (spending an hour in Haifa at the Baha'i Temple and its lovely gardens), and zip down the coast (stopping at Caesarea for archaeology if you have time and inclination) to Tel Aviv, where you can relax, go clubbing, see art and architecture, eat well and drink great coffee, and generally enjoy the feel of a western city with a twist... This type of itinerary can be accomplished with a rented car, or via public transport - Egged buses in the interior, and a bus or train down the coast. Most info is in English, and most Israelis speak English, making Israel a very easy country to get around. I hope this is helpful to you. Whatever you decide, have a great time! | 2
