Hiking

I am living in Ajman and am trying to find a hiking/walking group/tour with which I could get out in the mountains of the UAE (or Oman) on the weekends once the weather cools down. I know NOBODY in this country walks ANYWHERE but I'm sure there must be some freaks like me lurking out there. I am quite a keen hiker with a descent amount of experience but not really the confidence to head off into the hills by myself.

They do planned walks throughout the Northern Emirates on the 1st Sunday of every month, restarting for the winter in September I think.
