Extending Visa in Tehran

Hi,

A friend of mine wishes to know where in Tehran he should go to extend his 2-week-on-arrival airport visa! I need something like a phone number to call ....or better the exact address of the right government agency or office for such a purpose. Thank you.

If the on-arrival visa can be extended (please post here either way), it should be extendable at the same office the regular visas are extended at.

I think Shiraz is the best, with the most flexible staff. So extend your visa in Shiraz.

Tehran has a bad reputation for visa extentions. I got my last extention quite easily in Yazd. As far as I know, anmywhere with plenty of tourists tends to be OK as the staff are used to dealing with this.

They;re open Saturday to Wednesday, 9am - 12pm and 3pm - 5pm. They may be open Thursday 9am to 12pm. It's always best to go first thing in the morning.
