I have go to Israel on a business trip next week (from India). The Israeli embassy says in India (I called them) says they will only issue the visa on my passport, not on a seperate sheet (they said they very rarely do that now). I travel to the Middle east a lot frequently and also plan to travel Iran in the coming months so having an Israeli visa on my PP means that may not happen.
Has anyone here been issued an Israeli visa on a seperate sheet? Whats the deal? Any suggestions appreciated.
thanks.

It's the standard for Israel so unless you get a stroppy immigration officer the odds are that you'll get it on a piece of paper

As an Indian national you need a visa before you arrive in Israel. This visa issued at the embassy will be stamped in your passport.
#1 refers to the stamp issued at the airport for US, European and other nationals who do not require a visa to visit Israel
If you need to travel to other Middle Eastern countries, you might want to get a new passport after you return from Israel.

Do Indian nationals need a visa from the Israeli embassy in India before they start their journey or do they just get a stamp in the passport (or on a piece of paper) upon arrival in Tel Aviv (just like Europeans/Americans do)?
If the latter is the case - no problem. If the former is - you'd need to get the visa from the embassy in India on a loose sheaf of paper (and the immigration stamp too) or else you may have a problem.
