Coach from Istanbul to Damascus??Country forums / Middle East / Syria
Hi, I am planning on a 3 month trip to Syria in May, I have free flights to Istanbul and was hoping to take the train from Istanbul to Aleppo. However after a bit of research I have discovered that the train is out of action until at least May ... so I figure that I should start planning for an alternative route just in case the train still isn't working. I have looked on the internet to see if you can get a coach direct from Istanbul to Damascus (or anywhere in Syria really) but can't really find any info. So if anyone has taken a coach from Istanbul or knows anything about it, it would be good to hear from you. How long does it take and how much does it cost?? Thanks, Rich
