Sorry if this seems like a silly question but I was just wondering if fruit juice sold in juice stalls in Syria is likely to be diluted with bottled water or with tap water (especially for juices like lemon juice which must be served diluted)? I love fresh juices but have been told tap water is to be avoided in Syria.
I am planning to exit Jordan from the King Hussein bridge border post.
I wonder if the exit stamp on my passport would show that i have been in Israel or the exit stamps are the same at any border post (including airports)
I am mapping out an overland journey from Europe to India, and just working out the visas I need. The main problem is that I will only be home in Canada for a month before I set out on this journey. The main visas of concern are Syria, Lebanon, and Pakistan. Iran I will be using the on-line service for, and India I will get it Islamabad. Questions:
Can I get Syrian, Lebanon or Pakistan easily on the road or at the borders, or should I try to get all three quickly in Canada using a visa service…

Hello
I and a friend of mine are planning to go to Syria next August. We are both 21 and I am very blond, so we wondered how possible it is to travel on our own, as two girl in Syria? Does anyone has experience with this or any advise how to do this?
And what about the visa, is it true that you can only get one for 15 days? I heard o lot of different things about that?
Thanks for the help!
I'm planning to go to Quneitra, but have no idea how to get there. Shall I go there by taxi (but then, the driver would need a permit too right?), or maybe some of you could recommand me some travel agency or some driver or some hostel which organizes such trips? this is really last minute question, as I would like to go there on Sunday 29 March :-) ahh, I will be going from Damascus..
thanks for any advice!!
I am doing some travelling around Syria by bus, and I was wondering if anyone knew the prices and frequency of services (e.g., daily? several daily?) on these routes:
Hama-Damascus
Damascus-Deir Ez Zor
Deir Ez Zor-Damascus
Hi there,
I'm going to be to studying Arabic at DU from May-September this year, can anyone give me any advice about renting a two-bed apartment? What the prices are like, which areas to avoid etc.
Also are there letting agents etc? Or do you just wander round till you find somewhere?
Thanks
Hello,
Can anyone recommend a good travel agent in Damascus that can arrange tourist visas on arrival, good tours of old city etc. etc. that they have used.
Thanks.
