I'm planning to go to Istanbul early December. From there I will take a plane to Gaziantep. I couldn't find a flight to Antakya (Hatay) in a good timing so I think this is the best solution. Please if you have better one, advice me.
But I don't know exactly what I should do next.
I heard there are only taxis which can take me to Aleppo but it is too expensive.
Is it right? There are no buses to go to Aleppo?? What should I do?
Please, any advice would help.

I've travelled between Aleppo and Palmyra some years ago and have terrible memory of the stop in Homs on the way (everlasting...).

Has anyone here a recent experience of the Palmyra/Aleppo bus ride with Qadmous ? How long is the stop in Homs ? Can it be shorted if I take Qadmous from Palmyra to Homs then Al Halia from Homs to Aleppo ?

When I went to check out the buses from Aleppo to Antakya I found out they go at 5am (300SP) noon (350SP) and the guys in the hotel thought there maybe one at 3pm, but I didn't ask, too late for me. Needless to say there were taxi drivers plying their wares at the bus station, 500SP to Antakya, pick up and drop you at your hotel. I'm heading to Syria in December and need to get the visa sorted before traveling.

I'm a British National living in Hong Kong... Any idea how I get the visa? The nearest consulate I can see is in Beijing - I don't really want to go all the way up there to get a visa!
