Hi TT - I am planning to fly into Damascus this August and I was wondering if i could get a visa at the airport when i arrive (i am a US citizen). i know that you used to be able to, but with the new regulations on border traffic i was wondering if it is has become more difficult.

You can't. You'll need to arrange your visa with the Syrian mission nearest to you.
