Has anyone entered Syria with a US passport & visa issued by the Honorary Consulate in Texas? I've read that sometimes people have trouble at the border when the visa is not issued by the embassy in Washington, DC. Please let me know your experiences.
Also, does anyone know if the Embassy in Washington, DC still has a 1-day turnaround time on the visas?

I sent visa application from NYC to DC, wednesday by fedex and had it back on saturday.
I was having a very hard time communicating with the people in TX...seems they are only in the office for 2 hours on week days. In the end I decided to overnight my passport to DC. Though, as yet that has not happen cause I need additional pages and that can not happen until Dec 31st.
