I want to spend 15 days visiting Syria next November.
I am in doubt of how to organize my itinerary. I will be very grateful for all the tips.

First I would like to know how to organize my stay in Damascus and my main questions are:

1 - What are the next cities or places that I should visit being based in Damascus whereas I include in my itinerary stays in Palmyra, Deir Ezzor, Aleppo, Latakia, Tartous, Hama and Homs therefore I will not make my base in Damascus to visit these places .
2 - How and with whom I plan these days trips?
3 - How many days are needed to know specifically the city of Damascus?

Thank you

With 15 days you could spend 2-3 days in Damascus, then 3 days Damascus-Palmyra-Homs, 3 days for Hama & Homs incl. a side trip to Krak de Chevalliers, 3 days in Aleppo incl. side trip to Dead Cities and the remaining 3 days on the coast and back to Damascus. Unless there is a specific reason you want go to Deir I would skip it if you are relying on public transport. If you are renting a car, you can naturally fit in more.

Hello George5
I saw some tours offered by hotels in Damascus such as:
- Golan Heights tour, half day,
- Full day Bosra tour, Izra’a, Shahba, and Qanawat, Sewida’a
. Half day tour. Nabak,Deir Mar Mousa Monastery, Seidnaya, Maa’loula

I imagine that in 2-3 days will not be enough to visit theses places and also Damascus. What do you think ?

If you have 3 days in Damascus, you could do a day trip.

Personally I find 1 full day in Damascus enough. That works for me, maybe not for you.

When you arrive in Damascus, you could immediately leave the city to enjoy and visit other places before returning to the capital and exploring it. First visits and stops could be, Krak the Chevaliers, Saladdin's castle, Hama,...

15 days is enough to see the highlights of Syria, Deir Ezzor included. You can take the intercity bus from Aleppo to Deir Ezzor. After Deir Ezzor you can travel to Palmyra. From Palmyra to Damascus. An excursion to Bosra you should do from Damascus.

The number of places and sites you will visit depends on the means of transport you will choose and the time you like to spend for the visits.
