Syrian visa at Turkey border with Iranian passport?

I'm traveling in Turkey with an Iranian passport, and I'd like to enter Syria next. My question is how quickly can I expect to get a Syrian visa at the Turkish border, and how much will it cost? If you have entered Syria as an Iranian please let me know what happened to you at the land border with Turkey? Even if you are a dual nationa? Iranian-Canadian, Iranian-American, or Iranian-European. Also, do you think the Syrians mind if my passport has only 5 months of validity left at the time I enter Syria (instead of the required 6 months)?

Thanks

hi, you should have sex months as validity .sorry to disappoint you.
even if you entered with another nationality rather than Iranian , you still need a 6 period validity at least

Since I am only staying in Syria less than a month I don't see why they'd care whether its 6 months or 5 months. What's the difference anyways? Just an arbritary number of 6? I doubt they'd look at that information anyways, and if they did they'd probably ask me how long I want to stay, when I'm planning to return to update my passport, and I'll tell them what they want to hear, and hopefully they won't leave hanging at the border.

I get a feeling the Syrians won't treat a neighbour like that.

We'll see what happens.

"I don't see why they'd care whether its 6 months or 5 months." It is irrelevant what you think about another country rules. There are a lott of things I would like to see change with the Iranian visa and probally vice-versa as well, in the mean time we have to live with the rules of the country you want to visit. Startin at the border.
Having that said, if I've read it correctly according to this website you can enter Syria with a validity less then 6 month's.

A Passport valid for a period not less than one month after the elapse of the period of the entry visa, provided that the passport is issued by a state recognized by Syria, does not carry an Israeli visa, and the name of the passport owner is not listed among those forbidden from entering Syria.

The six months validity rule is a rule that must countries have. Don't know why.

Please tell what happend at the border. I Hope you made it without difficullty
