All - sorry if this has been answered before - I did check a few pages, but couldn't find out about UK citizens getting Syria visas from the London consolute.
Pretty standard case. Two UK citizens. Says on the Syria embassy website that they need a letter from your employer. Do they really? My friend who is going with me is just about to start a uni course, so might not be able to provide a letter. Is that going to be a problem?
Your student friend just needs to go to their university and ask for proof of status form, its a pretty standard form uni's are used to handing out as it is what you need to get yourself exempt from council tax, just take that along and its fine, its an easy process once you get to the embassy only takes about 3 days for them to have it ready for you. You do need the student status form, they will ask for it if you put your profession down as student.
