Every book I have seen says that there are only two places to stay in Bosra -- the Cham or a sleeping bag in the theater. Well, the Cham is too expensive (and not my style) and I'm too old for the sleeping bags.

Does anyone know of anywhere else to stay in the Haraun?

You might be able to rustle up something if you just ask around in Bosra. A couple of years ago, I met an Australian girl who, upon mentioning to a kebab shop owner that there was nowhere to stay, was taken in by his family for two nights.

That is correct there are no hotels at Bosra other than the 4/5 stars Cham Palace. That is a brillinat approach SPDL it works.
You can also try knock on churches doors i know few who did that and they always find a bed. or a sack to sleep on
.You can also try near by churches at Sweida,or there are few small hotels in Deraa.if you can travel to

It is also not far to head up north to Sham if that isnt out of your way. Bosra is a great place, definately needs a whole day to see it, LP way understates this place. It isnt just the amphiteater to see, we could have stayed two or three days and never been bored with the old city! Would be nice if we had other hotel options down there for this reason!
