Hi Folks,

I have a specific visa question.

On the application form (from the UK Syrian Embassy) it asks you to specify the entry and exit points...has anybody tried to enter/exit at different ones to those specified, and if so did you have any problems?.....I am trying to put together a trip where I fly into Lebanon and out of Jordan BUT (depending on fares and my plans) this might change and I could be coming via Turkey into Syria OR leaving Lebanon via a different border.

Also, how long does it take for a visa to be processed in London, and can you hand in/collect in person?

Hope this is clear and thanks for any help.

Yes, you can take different entry/exit point later on. The Syrians don't care, they know that plans can change, especially with land border crossings. The only thing consular officials care about if whether your application is generally coherent as a whole, e.g. putting down an entzry point on the border with Iraq might not be such a wise idea if you want to get a visa.

George is right - there is no entry/exit point listed on the visa, so it really doesn't matter.

ipman-Also, how long does it take for a visa to be processed in London, and can you hand in/collect in person? About 48 hours. Yes you can drop off you application form, photos, and fee, and then return to collect it in person. Mind the steps down to their office at Begrave Square.
