Hi all!

I'm going to be travelling from Turkey down through Syria (and Lebanon) and onwards to Jordan this November. I was wondering what would be the best order to see all the Syrian sites, since it isn't totally obvious just by going on geographic location. Here's the list of places:

Aleppo
Damascus
Krak de Chevaliers (via Hama)
Palmyra
Lebanon (Ba'albeck)

These are the must-sees, with of course room for side-tracks and additions (Beirut, Apamea, B'charre, Maaloula, etc.). I will be travelling via public transportation whenever possible. Considering the bus routes and availability, and also the layout of the countries, what would be the most logical way of scheduling the trip?

Thank you so much!

The order I'd do it in is:

*Aleppo
*Hama
*Krak de Chevaliers
*Hama
*Palmrya
*Damascus
*Lebanon

I'd stay in Hama at least overnight. It's a nice city, and it's very easy to get to the Krak and Palmyra from there, as well as other places to see in the region like Apamea, Deir Mar Musa and the Dead Cities.

There's plenty of transportation between Palmyra and Damascus. Once you're in Damascus, getting to Lebanon is also dead easy.

Dear friend

Good day from Damascus

I think the Itinerary should be as the following:

Day 01 Arriving to Aleppo (City Tour of Aleppo)
Day 02 Bara - Serjilleh - Apamea & Ebla - Homs
Day 03 Homs - Palmyra (recommended Overnight) or back to Homs
Day 04 Palmyra or Homs - Crac des Chevaliers - Ba'albeck - Beirut
Day 05 You can do an extra half day in Lebanon visiting (Tyre - Byblos or Tripoli)
Day 06 Lebanon - Ma'aloula - Seydnaya - Damascus
Day 07 Damascus city tour

Please note that you can save some time and narrow this itinerary down

If you need any other information, please don't hesitate to ask
