Hi,

Can anyone tell me how much a budget-trip in Syria would cost per day?

Budget is the sense that i don't need luxury, but still i would like (cheap) hotels without cockroaches.

Thanks!

guess without doing anything , just hotel food and drink would cost you about 500-600 Syrian pounds (about 12-15 American dollars)

a cheap hotel would cost you between 200 -400 (on the roof) and it depends the area
food is not expensive

Cheers

I am in Damascus now. Things here are not VERY cheap.
It depends on the area you want to stay.
I agree with Marcopoloo. As long as hotel food tour can fit your budget, you just enjoy your time here.

Yes, 20$ a day for a cleanish hotel room in Damascus and Aleppo, a bit less elsewhere, plus $10 a day per person for basic food, transportation, etc.

So if you don't want cockroaches, and aren't fusy about sleeping on something soft, I guess it is worth it to bring your own blankets to sleep on roofs. I am thinking about arriving in Syria from sri lanka so I would rather not carry my own blankets in, are basic wool blankets expensive to buy in Syria
