My son and I are flying to Istanbul en route to Syria next month, planning to travel to Aleppo by train but I have found there was a ferry to Latakia. Does anyone know if this is running still please? If so any detail, like where from and fare, schedules etc would be welcome. I have done a search online and got nowhere.
Thanks

Use your brain!

Why would be a ferry between Turkey and Syria that share a long land border?

There's a ferry from Cyprus(I think from Larnaca) to Latakia, but not from Turkey.

It's not such a silly question, Scythian - there are ferries all up and down both sides of the Adriatic coast, for starters...

But Christopher, he's right - there's only one ferry in and out of Syria, and that's Lattakia-Cyprus. It's predominantly used for goods, I believe, but it is possible to get a passage on it. You'd probably have to organise it once in Lattakia, though.
