Gentlemen and Ladies:
I am an American and live in Taiwan, which has NO Syrian representation. I know the Syrians want us to get our visas in our home country or country of permanent residence. As I will not be back in the USA for a long time, and Taiwan has no Syrian representation, is it feasible for me to send my passport back to the Syrian Embassy in Washington, D.C. by Federal Express (FedEx), and have it returned to me in Taiwan the same way (with the new visa inside.) Or, is this just not a good idea? I am understandably paranoid about sending my passport off on a trip around the world. If anyone has sent his/her passport off to his/her home country
to get a visa, please tell me how it went. How many days does
it take for the Syrian Embassy to issue a visa, and any other
pertinent information would be most welcome.
Thank you very much for your attention.
