You can't enter Syria from Iraq because you won't get a visa for Iraq unless you are either on business, have family there or are on a guided tour which won't include overlanding to Syria.

Ok, and can I book a tour to Baghdad in Kurdistan??

Again, this is not possible as you would need a visa for Arab Iraq. If you want to visit that part of the country, you will need to fly into Bagdad and have the entire trip arranged by a specialist tour operator. But buget lot and lots of money for the massive security arrangements you will have to have.

thanks, do you have any web-sites about this tour operator or any other detailed information about this way? You mean I can fly from Erbil to Baghdad and in the Baghdad airport arrange this tour, or how?

Sorry, I don't have any recommendations. But your nearest Iraqi embassy will be able to point you in the right direction.

There are tour companies you can join, but you will be escorted at all times during your stay. These tours start at around $3,000 per person. American-based Distant Horizons did a couple but i think they stopped. French based Terre Entiere (also operating out of Britain) does them http://www.terreentiere.com/WHO-WE-ARE/who-we-are.aspx
