we will be entering Syria from Turkey on a motorcycle and I have a few questions:
- do we need international drivers' licence or the Italian (european ) one is fine?
- you are supposed to be able to buy motorcycle insurance at the border, is this true?
- is there any other paperwork, beside my visa , I should provide?

I heard that European driver's licence is OK.
You will pay insurance and "carnet de passage" at the border.
You will pay a dieseltax, if your motorcycle needs diesel. This is 100 USD per week.
Your passport with visa is enough.
If you travel with a tent, you can stay at Camping Salaam in Aleppo region (16 km from Bab al Hawa and 26 km towards Bab al Hawa from Aleppo), at the Krak, in Camping Al Kaboun in Damascus and in Palmyra Zenobia hotel offers camping facilities.
