Hello,
I am an American living in the UAE, seeking a standard tourist visa to visit Syria for a long weekend. I've heard that Syria is making all Americans obtain visas from their main embassy in Washington, DC. I don't want to send my passport all the way back to the US if possible, especially as the Syrian embassy in the UAE is easily accessible. Does anyone know if they'll issue me a visa from there, and if so, how much it might cost? Thanks!
